Welcome to the St. Pius Third Grade web page.  We learn many things in third grade.  A few of these things are: all the multiplication facts, cursive writing, and in Social Studies we study Michigan.

     There are centers to go to during free time.  Many of the activities in the centers reinforce what we are currently learning.

      Students read accelerated reader books (AR).  Tests for AR book points are taken on the computer.  There are many AR books in our school library.  There is also a selection in my classroom.

     There is a smart board in the classroom with internet access.  The smart board is a wonderful instructional tool with many uses.

     The students attend specials every week.  These include Art, Music, Computer, Gym, Library, and new this year, Spanish.  Que será muy divertido!  (That will be fun!)

     We go on at least two field trips.  Some of the trips we have gone on are to:  The Henry Ford, we have attended several plays, COSI, Detroit Science Center, a pumpkin patch, Erie Metro Park, Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, and we usually like to end the year with a trip to the zoo.
