    Standardized Testing
    • Standardized aptitude and achievement tests are one means of identifying a child's capabilities and understanding at a particular level. Combined with other information, these tests help teachers and parents with a picture of the total child.  St. Pius Catholic School offers a complete battery of tests that provide us results that help us guide instruction for our students.  After each testing students have goals to achieve by the next testing session.  This test is focused on student growth throughout the year, not on grade level equivalency or knowledge of basic skills:

Star Renaissance online testing is utilized for grades K-8 in the fall, winter, and spring of each school year.  These results are shared with families and utilized to guide instruction throughout the school year.
